Thai orchids and flowers make your day more beautiful
Although orchids are the largest group of flowering plants in nature, there are certain countries that due to a combination of factors, including gegraphic location and soil quality, have become centers of orchid diversity and population radiation.
Thailand is one of select countries in the world blessed with a rich and distinctive fauna of Thai orchids and flowers.
Among the species and varieties of Thai orchids include the White, the Bright Yellow Oncidium and the Brick-red orchids, Cattleya, Vanda, Ascocentrum, and Dendrobium (eg, Dendrobium Thai Jasmine).
Aside from orchids, Thailand is also home to various tropical flowers and foliage of different colors. The national flower of Thailand is borne by the Ratchaphruek (Cassia Fistula Linn) tree. The Ratchapruek tree bears beautiful yellow cluster-shaped flowers, which are significant since the Thai people regard its yellow hue as the color of Buddhism and of glory.
To quote the accomplished 19th century poet and writer Ralph Waldo Emerson: "Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world." Each day, whether in Thailand or elsewhere, having a glimpse of Thai orchids or Thai flowers will definitely make your day more beautiful.
